This is also a MSVC based build of QGIS. It's build automatically from QGIS trunk each night (1am, MEST) and uploaded into the OSGeo4W repository.
This is not a supported build. At any given time it may not work, or may do bad things to your data. It is provided for early adopters and testers to check if bugs have been resolved and that no new bugs have been introduced. Use as your own risk.
This is also an MSVC based build of QGIS. All dependencies are supplied via the OSGEO4W installer, including python, gdal (including MrSid and ECW Wavelet compressed raster support) etc. This is most suitable for people who want to be able to update dependencies from the OSGeo4W repository easily. The installer is able to install from internet or just download all needed packages beforehand. In both cases the downloaded files are kept in a local directory for future installations.
Note: This build is an online installer. GRASS 6.4.0svn is available in the 'advanced' section of the installer.
This is an MSVC based build of QGIS. All dependencies are supplied in a standalone installer, including python, gdal (including MrSid Wavelet compressed raster support and ECW Wavelet compressed raster support) etc. This is most suitable for people who have slow / no internet connections and who want to be able to share and pass around copies of the installer - the installer can be run offline since it contains everything needed to install QGIS and its dependencies. You can check the integrity of this installer against this checksum.
Note: You may need to install the Microsoft C Runtime Libraries too. If QGIS does not start, get the MSVC libs from here and install them before trying to run QGIS again.
Note this package does not include GRASS support. Use the OSGEO4w installer listed below if you need GRASS support under Windows.
Note this package has passed virus scanning using the BitDefender, AVG and Clamav virus scanners. We suggest you always independently check installers for viruses and malware before installing them.
This Mac OSX version requires separate installation of dependency frameworks (available also from www.kyngchaos.com).GRASS is also supported with this version.
Note: Separate packages available for Snow Leopard and Leopard.
Ubuntu-GIS personal package archive. Follow the instructions provided at the download page. Packages are provided for Jaunty, Intrepid and Karmic.
Note: Ubuntu releases earlier than Intrepid don't include GEOS 3. Refer to the UbuntuGIS package repository for Hardy packages (also listed on this page) which may be supported at a later point.
The package is available for i386 and amd64, from this apt-gettable repository:
http://debian.gfoss.it/
The backport includes GDAL 1.6.3 and other required packages. Unfortunately Grass remains at version 6.4.0rc4, compiled against libgdal1-1.5.0. After upgrading the system, you can manually purge some old libraries. This is a quick howto:
